My Fab, Fave Four Handcreams

Cream of the crop for MY hands!

In my line of work, my hands are always on display: whether I'm typing, taking pictures with my camera, displaying my funky nail art, or just as the dedicated writer that I am, my hands

always have to look and feel good!
Heck, I even protect my hands while I'm writing by using guards to prevent carpal-tunnel syndrome. With that said, you can imagine how much hand lotion I actually go through. As much as I protect my hands on the outside from wear and tear, my skin also needs nourishment from within as well.

I use wrist guards whenever I type!

I admit that I have very dry hands and my cuticles suffer, even to the point of tearing. Between constant hand washing and applying hand sanitizers (hard-core germ-a-phobe), I need all the help I can get.

Cue to my "Fave Fab Four" hand creams. These 4 heavy-hitters range in price from moderate to expensive (hey, you get what you pay for, right?) but all four of these you'll see below, can be found in my purse or on my nightstand, readily available whenever I need baby-soft hands.

1. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant: ($19.50)

Legendary, award-winning cream that hydrates your skin for eight full hour. A fave among editors and celebs (Kourtney Kardashian mentioned it at the Kardashian Beauty event a few weeks ago) it can be used to shape your brows, on lips, hands, feet - even on your eyelids! www.ElizabethArden.com

2. Moroccanoil Hand Cream Precious Care ($28 4.2 oz / $18 2.5 oz)

Moroccanoil has me hooked with their latest body products (even their candle, see my review on BeautyStat.com here: Moroccanoil Candle review .) Flip-cap opening, infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil and natural emollients, you'll love the blends of cocoa, shea, mango and avocado butters, combined with the power of citrus. My cuticles heal once I massage this in and get instantly feel smooth. You can't beat the signature Moroccanoil scent. Available at Moroccanoil.com, Spa Nordstrom, Bluemercury stores and luxury salons & spas nationwide.

3.  Julep Rock Star Hand Crème ($20 3 oz. / $16 with Maven membership)

Rock on Rock Star! This is an amazing cream, HANDS DOWN. With it's swivel open cap, anti-aging, formulated with blends of shea butter, glycerin, coconut oil, and vitamin E, your hands stay hydrated, even after washing. Rock Star is creamy yet non-greasy, fast-absorbing and smells amazing. I find that I apply hand lotion far less, when I use this one. Get yours here: www.julep.com

4. La Prairie Cellular Hand Cream ($105 3.4 oz.)

$105 for a hand cream? OH YES! Why not, it's La Prairie and this luxe piece of heaven is also an age minimizing hand treatment (not just cream.) Aside from its gentle exfoliation perfect for renewed softness; it also helps diminish age spots. How? With a revitalizing blend of marine-derived substances, it's  rich in algae and minerals, plus a Moisture Complex, which hydrates the skin and strengthens the moisture barrier Think of it as anti-aging for your hands! Available at La-Prairie.com and La Prairie fine stores.

Some may think that my hand-care obsession is a bit outlandish, but I disagree. We take care of our face to prevent aging, but many neglect their hands and then complain when they look 20 years older than we do!
