Believe it or not, the one hair item that I DON'T own (and it is purely by choice), is a hood dryer. I'm lucky to own a blow dryer (well, actually make that FIVE!) The only reason this Curl~Gurl would need one, would be to heat up hair treatments or use it with my heat activated hair gels, especially during this lovely cold weather. It's not a secret that my arch nemesis is the dryer, as we just don't seem to click.

I'm gonna keep 'em coming, more NYFW backstage moments with yours truly. Why? Well for starters, I had tons of invites and each invite was separate and I believe deserves the respect of its very own review. Besides, it gives me a chance to showcase all my fab pics, lol! For Trina Turk & Mr. Turk Fall/Winter 2014, the fashion inspiration was "take a drive on Sunset Blvd through LA from Silverlake to the sea." The multicultural vibe of Los Angeles in jacquards, napped coats, printed failles , finewale corduroy and sweater stitches. Also, you'll see Trina Turk bags (stunning) and Mr. Turk traditional menswear patterns in fresh colorations.

My good friends at Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa (massages, facials and manicures are my weaknesses) invited my backstage the first days of NYFW, so that I could see their amazing hair, makeup and nail teams get the models ready for both the Brandon Sun and Angel Sanchez Fall/Winter shows. Here how it went backstage, through MY eyes, as I get IN THERE: behind, over, under - however possible (without disturbing the artists, of course, lol) to get that perfect shot! Good thing for me, that these makeup & hair artists know me by know and have a pretty good tolerance to my antics!

***UPDATED FEBRUARY 26, 2020*** Due to the overwhelming "interest" in the Chanel Brick lipstick (and the messages I have been receiving the past three days since MAC announced a relaunch), is why I have decided to update all my posts containing mention of the Chanel Brick compact, stressing what I have been saying since 2000! This compact is NOT available online or anywhere. I can guarantee you all, that any so-called brick compact purchased after 1997, when it was discontinued, are without a doubt, 100% COUNTERFEIT.  HOW DO I KNOW? Well for starters, I have met numerous times with Chanel Beauty brand reps, even as recent as this week, and it has been confirmed once again. It's sad that some take advantage of fans, just to make a "quick buck". What those of you purchasing these horrible knock-offs should be more concerned with, is not losing your hard-earned money, but rather what ingredients these amateurs are putting in these palettes, which you then put on your lips. ~Ev (You're welcome!)
