Regardless what happens, it's always been about the hair - in my case: CURLS. It wasn't too long ago that I received the amazing Alex Anthony Curl System from my long-time friend Alex Mnayarji (owner of Alex Anthony Salon). If you don't know, Alex is a pioneer in the curl world and a key player (along with her team.. Hi ANA), in helping create the "Curl~Gurl with hair to share" - ME. How? Alex was the stylist at the Ouidad salon back in 2011, when I walked in simply there for a hair casting for Ouidad and went to town on my hair. Alex is the former head educator and color specialist who has worked side by side with Ouidad for 10 years, has styled for the Tara Subkoff, Rebecca Minkoff and Timo Weiland NY Fashion Week Shows. Trust me when I tell you whole-heartedly, that Alex and her team KNOW curls: how to handle, cut, style and care for it. Alex opened Alex Anthony Salon in the west village in 2012, and since then she has gone on to launch a successful product line geared towards..you guessed it…Curly Hair. I'm actually long-overdue for a visit and haircut, so see you soon!

Alex was a platform stylist at the American Beauty Show Chicago and Premiere Orlando. She has worked on Ouidad’s advertising campaign print and television shoots. Alex’s other accomplishments include styling the hair for the Broadway shows Wicked and In the Heights and clientele from Avenue Q and the Book of of Morman. Alex’s experience as an educator enables her to train her stylists so that they may excel at the unique services that the salon provides. Her true passion is to help her clients embrace their natural texture.
Let me start by saying how much I love the Alex Anthony Curl System. I thoroughly tested the products on my hair and was pretty much sold from the shampoo. The Restorative Intense Protein Treatment rescued my dry tresses and the Replenish Hydrating Conditioner gave my hair and scalp sheer L-I-F-E (rejuvenating mint is amazing!)
