Hair, Skin & Nails Supplements

AVIVA HAIR GROWTH SYSTEM,
NATURES BOUNTY GUMMIES, VITAFUSION PRENATAL
ADVANCE HSN & NOURÁGE

My first article of 2015 and what better way to kick off the new year than with hair? Funny how my bio: "All about the hair, the Curl~Gurl with Hair to Share" literally describes me, thanks to a few hair supplements I've been testing the past few months. My hair and nails are longer and stronger than they've ever been - and my skin has never looked better: I'M GLOWING! I feel like a cross between a Chia Pet and Wolverine from X-Men, with a hint of Edward Cullen in Twilight (that scene where the sun hits him? Ok, I'm kidding with the last one.) **WARNING: hair supplements will cause your hair to grow, you'll go from "barely there, to HAIR EVERYWHERE" so be ready to wax and shave, lol!** My eyebrows even grew back - but that's an entirely separate article, coming up shortly.

Before you couldn't tell exactly how long my hair was, until it was blow-dried. NOW, my hair hangs longer curly, than when straight. Here are a few great hair supplements and there is even one that's perfect for pre-menopausal and menopausal dolls (no, I'm not there yet quite the opposite.) My fave are the strawberry gummies. I'm no stranger to gummies, I've been taking these prenatal gummies and I love them.

PreNatals also available in gummy form!
Hair growth in 2.5 months

Old pic to show you my hair length difference from curly to straight
(rollers & flat iron)

We've all seen gimmicks, but this is my actual hair growth in 2 ½ months. If in doubt, my InstaGram pictures pretty much prove it. It's no secret I love selfies and dates don't lie...

I'm always under a lot of stress and regardless how much hair you see on my head, it falls out in clumps. As a curl~gurl I only comb my hair when I wash it (while detangling) and there are times when it look as if a poor kitten was drowned in my drain! Still, I wash my hair about 3 times a week and for as long as I can remember, I have always been a plumbers nightmare!
Christmas Eve skin, no make-up - just lipstick!
Rare straight-look, but it happens (mainly in the winter)
Nouráge

Back in March 2014 I reviewed Nouráge hair supplements (see it here) and while my hair didn't grow that much, it was definitely healthier and stronger - with less breakage. Well now Nouráge launched a brand new formula (3 pills a day vs. 6, which I hated as I don't do pills) that includes Biotin, B vitamins, copper, zinc and antioxidants that boost hair and nail strength and shine. The packaging has experienced a face-lift too, with a smaller, more portable size bottle and a flip-top lid for convenience. To order, visit www.nourage.com

Aviva Hair Revitalizer

AVIVA is perfect to stimulate hair growth, especially if you suffer from hair loss, bald spots or thinning hair. You have to stick to using the system if you want to see results. I just happen to be terrible with pills but the month I did take these I was very impressed.

Advance HSN (Hair, Skin, Nails)

Fountain of Youth” solution, it’s time to start anti-aging from the inside out. This one was positively tested by a very good friend of mine who was going through menopause and she not only loved this, she ended up using both bottles! As women start to age, they can suffer from brittle nails and thinning hair and skin. Womens Healthy Hormones and Dr. Timothy Morley launched their Advance HSN (Hair, Skin, Nails) product to alleviate these symptoms and get back that healthy glow, inside and out! Advance HSN was formulated specifically to:
  • Restore soft supple skin
  • Restore full bodied hair
  • Restore brittle nails
  • Restore the natural beauty of youth

Nature’s Bounty® Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies

Now, the hair supplement I've been raving about, the gummies! After using Nature’s Bounty® with Biotin, not only did my hair grow in record speed, but stopped falling out whenever I washed it and my hair not only looks but feels healthy.) I don't have to swallow horse-sized pills, a major plus in my book and the strawberry flavor and yummy scent aren't bad either. What's best, these are SUPER AFFORDABLE. My nails are also at their best: long, strong and healthy. Now when I break a nail, it doesn't take long for it to catch up to the others; perfect for my constant nail swatching! I keep catching the commercial playing lately and they offer a 30-day Challenge where if you're not satisfied, you get your money back. Fill out the form and you’ll be entered for a chance to win a #NaturesBountyBeauty kit containing almost $200 in prizes to help keep you looking and feeling your best. Are you up to it?

    1. Do you take all those vitamins at once?

    2. Obviously not Rose. Some were reviewed 6 months prior to this article, but were recapped here. I have used them all and would stick to one brand/vitamin for 30 days.
