With National Shampoo Day just around the corner on 10/20 and I am delighted to share this, especially since I recently posted on my social media sites that I wash my hair daily (to the shock of many naturalistas). Listen I understand that it's frowned upon, BUT I have been doing so nearly 30 years, sometimes even TWICE A DAY (after yoga, etc... and I may skip a day here and there). I instantly fell in love with Tara Smith at her product launch event this past June (see my article here), not just because of her fabulous curls, but because she said to me: "It's perfectly fine to wash your hair everyday, why not?"

Renowned celebrity hairstylist, Tara Smith, is celebrating by letting everyone know that you CAN actually wash your hair everyday… with the RIGHT products. Although there may only be one day dedicated to cleansing your tresses, Tara Smith says that every day can be National Shampoo Day! It was a pleasure hanging again with Tara Smith backstage this NYFW, at the Laurel Dewitt show (full NYFW recaps are still pending - EvCurlGurl always waits until fashion month is over...so stay tuned) and I overheard Tara giving this advice to a few of bloggers and models on hand, many who were surprised, even a few somewhat relieved to actually hear it.

Hi dolls! We're excited to share that Birchbox has partnered with The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) to create an exclusive box of beauty samples in support of breast cancer awareness this October. Birchbox has committed to donating $104,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), which will fund one year of breast cancer research.

The special-edition box will be filled with an assortment of products from Estée Lauder Companies brands, including Estée Lauder, Clinique, Smashbox, Darphin, Prescriptives and Origins. Fall is finally here and as much as I love this colorful, crisp and cozy season, I cannot properly let go of summer, without a recap of the amazing VIP summer event I attended with my good friends: Women's Health Magazine. It began on a (very) early Saturday morning, on a bus filled with editors and bloggers, all headed to the Hamptons for an all-day, two-part, fun-filled event: the Women's Health First Annual "Well-thy" Home and annual "Party Under the Stars!" I took a TON of pictures, so get ready to enjoy my collection of GIFS! 

6:00 am bus ride? Of course I slept on the bus!

Women’s Health VP/Publisher Laura Frerer-Schmidt’s invited us into her newly constructed Montauk home, for the daytime wellness event - WELL-THY HOUSE - in partnership with Domino Magazine and the Feed Foundation. The first event featured top experts leading home and garden workshops, workouts, cooking demos and nutrition consultations. We jumped right into yoga as soon as we arrived and I was excited as this class was led by Mandy Ingber (Jennifer Aniston's fave instructor.) Not to mention that the view from our rooftop yoga session was absolutely breathtaking!
