HAIR: 72nd Golden Globe Awards - BIRCHBOX

EMILY BLUNT & AMY ADAMS BIRCHBOX 
BEAUTY HAIR LOOKS FROM STYLIST LAINI REEVES



Here are some behind the scenes hair inspiration/process, by celebrity hair stylist Laini Reeves who worked with EMILY BLUNT and AMY ADAMS to create their Golden Globes look. Laini used products exclusively from beauty and grooming e-commerce company Birchbox. Let's take a look:

TOOLS NEEDED

2”curling iron

4 4” rollers

Box of pin-curl clips
Soft bristle brush
Tail comb
Hairdryer

STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS
  • On damp hair apply the Oribe Volumista from roots to ends
  • Using the tail comb make a low side part
  • Blow-dry the hair with the soft bristle brush keeping the ends smooth
  • Brush the part side of the hair behind the ear and hold with a couple of pin-curl clips
  • Using the curling irons and rollers,take 2’ sections diagonally from the part towards the face using the curling irons to curl the hair then replace the iron with the roller and pin to hold. Do this 4 times on top of the head back to the crown
  • With the curling iron, start from the right curling 2” sections into pin curls work around the head to the left.
  • From the left, repeat curling the opposite way into pin curls towards the right
  • Repeat from the right to the left curling pin curls to the left. Do this until you have curled all of the hair.
  • Spray with Oribe Shine Light Perfecting Spray and let sit for about 20 minutes.
  • Once the hair has cooled down take out all pins and rollers, keep pins in the hair behind the ear to hold hair in place while brushing out.
  • A light spray will help hold the curl while brushing
  • Using the soft bristle brush start brushing out the wave, the more you brush the more relaxed the wave will become. When you have your desired wave hold with the spray

EMILY BLUNT
The dress was quite grecian she wanted to look fresh and young- braids gives a younger feeling. It was a softer texture. Both girls get really involved and have a hand creatively.

STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS
  • From damp hair use the Malin+Goetz Sage Styling Creme
  • With the tail comb make a center part
  • Power dry the hair
  • When dry apply the Serge Normant Dream Big Volume Spray then power dry again to create a tousled texture, this will help hold the braid
  • Do an inside out braid to the nape of the neck and repeat on the other side
  • Cross over at the nape
  • Secure with Bobbi pins
  • Spray once again for hold
