Uzés Tuberose – inspired by the medieval town of Uzés in Southern France, known for its breathtaking architecture, beautiful hidden gardens, and a picturesque town square. A visit to the area inspired the Uzés Tuberose scented candle, infused with an alluring blend of Tuberose enhanced with fruity Apricot, and a warming hint of Spicy Clove.

Last week, Dove launched their #LoveYourHair campaing, a new mission to broaden the definition of beautiful hair by celebrating all hair [types, textures, styles, colors] and inspiring real women to do the same.

The campaign challenges the fact that women are consistently faced with a narrow depiction of what ‘beautiful hair’ is supposed to look like – below and linked here are the actual search results for beautiful hair. 

This homogenous depiction, on top of the rules and norms women are bombarded with (you shouldn’t have long hair past a certain age, curly hair isn’t professional, short hair isn’t feminine, Asian women shouldn’t have blonde hair, etc.) cause them to internalize a lot of pressure when it comes to their hair. In fact,86% of US women believe that media and society put a lot of pressure on women to have hair that looks a certain way.

Last week I went from "Zero to Zumba", when I attended Zumba's #HowDoYouShake press preview. Not only was I shaking it (it was my very first Zumba class), but I also sampled the brands first-ever Zumba shakes - launching April 4th! As soon as I arrived at the studio, the Zumba team handed me my very own "Zwag", I met Zumba CEO Alberto Perlman and in true Ev fashion, I test drove the photo-booth.
