Happy Halloween Dolls! By now, I'm sure you've all had your share of make-up, glitter and who knows what else applied to your face - and the day isn't even over. I was pressed for time, so I had to paint my face in time to hand out candy to all the Trick-or-Treaters at my door. MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER

Staying true to my word, last Sunday I headed to Central Park at 7:00 a.m. for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. I was wearing as much pink as I could get my hands on, closely  resembling "Pinkie Pie" from My Little Pony. Hey, all those who know me, will tell you that I am not a pink-loving, girly-girl. I have avoided the color pink since I was 10 years old; I prefer red, blue or purple! But hey, it was for a great cause, so I clipped on four pink Ouidad "Curls For A Cure" extensions in my hair, strapped on my pink Everlast boxing gloves, pink scarf, hot pink lipstick (I had to get a lipstick: I give away anything pink) and pink with black Nike's! Why the pink boxing gloves? Duh: Knock out breast cancer!

I was ready!

I love how people get into the "pink power" spirit for this event! I've heard of an entire team walking in pink heel (you dolls are my heroes, I'm pretty sure your feet were bleeding by mile 3) and men rocking pink tutu's in honor of either their mom, sister or wife. Hey, I had Chewy rocking a pink bow last year. He didn't like it, but he took one for the team, lol....

This past Monday (10/20), Cutler Salon, including founder Rodney Cutler and head stylist, Rachel Bodt, co-hosted the evening with the women of the hour, Heather Packer, founder of the new charity: Fearless Beauty. The inspirational question of the evening from Packer was, "What would you do if you weren't afraid?" Her answer, after much soul searching, was Fearless Beauty, which will mentor and train underprivileged girls in India within a 3-month program teaching them the trade of hair styling, ultimately empowering them to earn a sustainable income and improve their quality of life.

When reps for the brand reached out and sent me the Chrome Girl fall/winter collection ($14.00 each at chromegirl.com) I was super excited to prep my claws and paws. The bottle shape and size is fab and they even included a cute carrying bag, gel-like topcoat, nail file and my all-time favorite hand-written note (such a lost art, so I beam whenever I get one.)

Calling all my fellow "fingertip fashionistas!" Have you tuned in to watch Oxygen's new show "Nail’d It", which premiered on October 7th and airs every Tuesday at 9:00 pm? If you haven't yet, you're only 2 episodes behind, so hurry up and catch up! The series pits 18 of the best up and coming nail artists against one another as they claw their way to the top to claim a life changing grand prize of $100,000. Host Adrienne Bailon is obsessed with nail art and she was the perfect choice to be the host. Not only does she always have a fly design on her nails, but she has her own nail polish line called Fingertip Fetish. I took part of a telephone conference and had a Q&A session with Adrienne, where I asked her what she thought about plain nails (gasp) her manicure routine, tips for bloggers on-the-go and her for favorite nail tips (hint: she loves the new "negative space" nail look)

Cold sores are not exactly something you want to discuss, that is until you get one yourself. Backstage bellies and babies bliss: Pregnant in heel indeed! This past August, I had the pleasure of hanging backstage with Rosie Pope, pregnancy expert, maternity fashion designer, one of today's most relatable parenting experts and the star of Bravo's hit show "Pregnant in Heels." Believe it or not, this was the first photo shoot where it wasn't chaotic, even with a few babies backstage. The vibe was calm, exciting and upbeat.  The sight of models in baby bumps bumping and laughing to the beat of the music absolute made my day and having the chance to chat with Rosie was exactly what I needed.

"Productivity to go", for the gal who is always on the go! Running between beauty events, launches and my full-time day job, sometimes its hard waiting to write until I get home. Last month during a very busy NYFW run, I so wished that I had a portable laptop to use in between shows. Those moments when I sat at Lincoln Center recharging my equipment, or at my second home Starbucks, this would've come in handy. I know what you're thinking: "how can the gal with so many gadgets, not have one...right?" Well, I prefer larger laptops when I'm working at home (similar to guys wanting a large screen TV to watch the game) so my 17" HP laptop just isn't practical to around (plus it weighs 7 lbs.) My tablets are great, but when you type 86 words a minute, a touchscreen won't cut it and neither will a blue-tooth keyboard (I've tried.)
